Tips for Getting Rapunzel’s Autograph on a Frying Pan
The most-asked question we get is about the frying pan that we used for Rapunzel and Flynn Rider’s signatures at the Bon Voyage Breakfast at Disney World. In case you haven’t seen our video or post yet, we got Rapunzel and Flynn to autograph a small frying pan at the Bon Voyage Breakfast. It provided great interaction, a cute decoration for our kitchen, and a reminder of a wonderful memory.
I’m going to go through and answer all the questions we have received about the frying pan. If you don’t see your question here, please feel free to ask us in the comments.

Where did you get your frying pan?
What kind of pen did you use for autographs?
We used a set of metallic permanent markers. It doesn’t matter which brand. The colors were more important to me so I found a set that had colors to match Rapunzel’s dress because I’m all matchy matchy like that. I found mine at Wal-Mart but you can also order a set from Amazon.
How do you protect the frying pan from rusting?
To help keep the pan from rusting, you need to season it. Just coat the entire pan (even the handle) in a thin coat of vegetable oil, then place it upside down in the oven at 350 degrees for one hour. Give it ample time to cool after you turn your oven off, and take it out. It should resist rust on its own from this point on.
Will the autographs smear?
It has been three months since our trip and no smearing. Make sure it is completely dry after you get your autographs before it comes in contact with anything. When we got home, I wasn’t taking any chances so I sprayed the pan with a clear sealer to add extra protection.
I would suggest booking the Bon Voyage Breakfast. You can get both Rapunzel and Flynn’s autograph and you don’t have to carry a frying pan around the park.
For every little time and money, you can make your Disney experience that much more magical.
