Kid Review of Avengers: Infinity War ((Major Spoilers))

Hi, Jacob here.  Bear and I just saw Marvel Studio’s Avengers: Infinity War, and he wrote up a pretty great review of it; especially if you have kids and might wonder what someone around age 10 would think. There are SPOILERS scattered throughout the post, and some are pretty major, so be warned. Stop reading right now if you do not want spoilers. Here is the kid review of Avengers: Infinity War.

Kid Review of Avengers: Infinity War

Hello, this is Bear! I am doing a review on Avengers: Infinity War. I am going to talk about my feelings about what happened, and I will be thinking about what I liked, and what I didn’t like.

What I Didn’t Like

I don’t want to think about bad feelings towards the end, so I will be doing what I didn’t like first.

My least favorite part was when Thanos threw Gamora off the mountain at Vormir. I was literally attempting to ignore her body, and look at the markings of the stone around her. It was just absolutely AWFUL.

I also think Dr. Strange was not smart at all, when he made the small huge mistake of giving Thanos the Time Stone just to save Iron Man’s life. Now, I am not saying Iron Man is not worth it, or not cool, just that Dr. Strange was sworn to protect the thing, and he gave it up! I mean, really! He even said, “I won’t hesitate to let you or Spider-Man die if it comes to protecting the Time Stone” or something like that. That is just ridiculous!

It wouldn’t be so bad if Thanos wasn’t going for the Mind Stone that Vision had, and he was able to reverse Scarlet Witch smashing it, (at Vision’s request) and get the dang thing anyway.

I hated it when Thanos was able to snap his fingers and just get rid of half of all living things. I was almost in tears when Spider-Man got killed. It was just awful. I just think that he was the most affected by it. He just was like “I don’t wanna go, Mr. Stark” when he was fading away.  I actually think this was my least favorite part.

What I Did Like

There were a whole lot of good parts and funny parts, so it wasn’t all bad.

My favorite part was when Spider-Man said “Hi, my name’s Peter Parker.” and Dr. Strange said “I’m Dr. Strange.” and then Spider-Man said “Oh, we’re using made-up names. well, my name’s Spider-Man”. It was just hilarious.

And when the Guardians of the Galaxy got Thor in their ship and Thor is like “Who the heck are you guys?” Also, a couple of times Rocket Raccoon said he was the captain, then Star-Lord said he was the captain, (Which he is, by the way) and it was just funny. And when Thor is trying to get on their pod thingy, Star-Lord is like” You will not use our pod.” but he said it in a deep voice and it was hilarious. and when Rocket and Groot decide to join Thor’s journey to Nidavellir Thor says ” Good luck, morons.” because Rocket said the rest of the Guardians (Not including Groot, obviously, cause he was coming with.) were morons because they were going to Knowhere.

My Overall Thoughts

Overall, it was a fantastic movie, just very harsh in some scenes. I liked it sometimes, other times I could barely describe without needing a deep breath. I think that other kids my age would like it, but only if they could handle a few really bad scenes. It was almost too much for me, really. It was tough to handle all those people dying. But I know the Avengers are gonna destroy Thanos in Avengers 4.

So those are my thoughts and my opinions about Avengers: Infinity War. I really liked doing this review, because I was able to vent my feelings and just sort of calm down about the bad stuff and think about the good and funny stuff. That’s it for now, everyone!
