Christmas will be here before you know it. I’m already in full planning mode as far as Christmas gifts. One thing that I always plan for way ahead of time is Advent Calendars. We always get one for each kid, which gets expensive. But it’s something that provides excitement and fun memories for each day of December leading up to Christmas. My searches have revealed some really fun ones this year. So here are my picks for the best advent calendars on Amazon. Most of these are aimed toward kids, but I can totally see myself enjoying some of them, too.

1. Funko Advent Calendars
Earlier this summer, Funko announced that they will be releasing advent calendars. The first two they announced were Marvel and Harry Potter. Which is already kind of a big deal. Bear and Bug both love Harry Potter. But Jacob got so excited at the Marvel one, I might wind up having to buy him an Advent calendar, too!
But just in case that wasn’t exciting enough, they just announced a Fortnite one. And you know we love some Fortnite. I’m not sure how I’m suppose to choose between these three for our oldest. He would love all of them. At $59.99 a pop though, I’m gonna have to narrow it down. You can preorder them now.

2. Tsum Tsum Advent Calendars
We have had the Tsum Tsum calendars in the past and absolutely love them. All the adorable Tsum Tsums that came in the calendars are packed up with our Christmas decorations. They love pulling those out each year and playing with them. There are several different versions and each one is slightly different. There are also Marvel and a plush variants, to please a variety of children. Or me.

3. Thomas & Friends Fisher-Price Minis
If you have a little Thomas the Tank Engine fan, then this is the one to pick. Each day comes with a mini engine including five special edition trains. Our little Bean would absolutely flip over this. And then try to open all of the doors on the first day. #toddlergoals

4. Disney: Storybook Collection Advent Calendar
Here is another just-announced set that is available: Disney Storybook Collection. It comes with 24 small paperback books, each individually wrapped in a paper sleeve. It sounds like a really cute calendar, but I do wonder just how small the books are? Either way, the price is not bad at around $20.

5. Hot Wheels Advent Calendar Vehicles
Our little guy loves all things cars, so this set seems like a slam dunk. My problem with this set is it only comes with eight actual Hot Wheels vehicles, and the rest of the days are accessories. It is currently $19.99, so just $4 more and you can get 24 Hot Wheels and put together your own. But if you are looking for easy and are interested in the accessories, then this set would definitely work.

6. LEGO Advent Calendars
LEGO is always a fun choice and there are so many to choose from. There are four new ones to choose from this year. They are releasing calendars based on the City, Friends, Star Wars, and Harry Potter sets. We did a Star Wars one a couple years ago and it is definitely a fun one!

7. Hatchimals Advent Calendar
Our Bug just loves Hatchimals. I love making Jacob figure out how to open them without destroying the shell, since Bug likes to keep them. Everybody wins. (Except Jacob) This set looks really cute, and comes with a good assortment of Hatchimals, accessories, and stickers and such. I think Bug might just be getting this one, this year.

8. Fisher Price Little People Advent Calendar
Here’s one for the littler ones. This calendar features 24 figures and accessories, all with a Christmas theme. These are really cute, and should be safe for younger ones. Your toddler will love getting a new surprise each day.

9. Disney Pixar Cars Advent Calendar
I said I might have trouble picking one out for Bear, but I’m starting to think Bean might be just as difficult. He would love this so much. You get an assortment of cars, some accessories, and a little racetrack. If you have a little Cars fan in your house, definitely take a look at this calendar.

10. Plah-Doh DohVinci Advent Calendar
Rounding out our list is something just a little different. This calendar is from Play-Doh’s DohVinci line. It contains several tubes of their special crafting doh, plus a series of tips and tools all for decorating an included papercraft tree. This looks like loads of fun, and has a pretty decent price, too.
