A Disney World vacation is already expensive. Then there are all those extras that increase your cost like Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. While this is totally worth doing, it will get pricey. But there are some ways to help keep within your budget, while still getting a magical experience for your little princess.

What is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?

First, what exactly is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique? It’s a paid experience where you will be assigned your very own Fairy Godmother, who will give your little one a princess makeover. It is open to children ages 3-12. The princess packages include hair, makeup, a photo shoot, the works. You can have it done at Magic Kingdom, or in Disney Springs. We recommend Magic Kingdom, though, because you get to enter Cinderella’s castle. And if you’ve already paid to get into MK, why not do it then?
Book Early
One tip for getting the most out of your visit is to literally get the most, by booking early in the day. The first appointment costs the same as the last one of the day, after all. Not only will your princess get to spend longer looking and feeling all glamorous, but you will get more interactions with cast members throughout the day, and they are known for making a fuss over all the princesses they see.
Bring Your Own Dress
Now in terms of helping your budget, buy your own dress. They have princess dresses available, and you can add them to the package, yes. But the basic package starts at just $64.95 without a dress included. This does still include hair and makeup, and your own Fairy Godmother to help get everything right. You also get access to the dressing room to change into the dress you bring with you, as well. On the other hand, to add a princess dress, it jumps up to $200+. It’s way too easy to just hit up Amazon, or even ShopDisney, and find your own dress at those price points.
Another bonus is that you can make your little princess feel even more special by picking up a dress that the BBB does not have available. When we went, Bug had picked out Anna’s sunflower dress from Frozen Fever. There was not another princess at Disney that day with her dress on, and it made her feel extra special. And if you bring your own dress, the exact same experience is provided.
Come Prepared
Another way to get the most out of your experience is to make sure you are prepared, so you don’t waste time. While they are concerned with making your visit magical, there are lots of other little princesses who are waiting for their turn, as well. So make sure that hair is clean and brushed, but not styled. Skip the nail polish, since they will do this there. Also forget makeup, as they will handle that. And you get a tote bag with your nail polish and makeup to take home with you afterwards.
Photo Shoot

Another thing that is included, regardless of which package you choose, is a free photo shoot. This will take place at a different location. Ask a cast member for help on where to go. Head over for this on your own once you are done. If you get Memory Maker, (and we strongly recommend that you do,) your pictures will show up in your account like magic. They also have PhotoPass photographers taking pictures throughout your appointment, which will be on your account as well.
Disney Springs

As I mentioned earlier, you can also make your appointment at Disney Springs. The value in this is that, if your budget is already just about strained to the maximum, you can really shave off some dollars here. You won’t have to pay for a park ticket. You won’t have to pay for parking. You won’t have to do anything but book your appointment, and you will still get all of the same features as you would in MK. They even have a PhotoPass studio there. So while we recommend the park, if you really want a little princess but can’t stretch your budget any more, Disney Springs has an option for you
It’s worth doing

BBB isn’t the cheapest thing you can do at Disney World, it’s true. But it’s very worth it, if you have a little dreamer at home. Your little girl will feel like the princess she always knew that she was, and your memories will last a lifetime. You just have to be a little smart about it, and you can definitely fit this in to your next Disney trip. See you there!

I love this! We have done the BBB on all three cruises. My daughter is 9, and we are doing it for the first time in the parks this summer. I am so glad she wants to do it!
I wish I was a kid again so I can experience this opportunity. I’m terrible with make up and hair. The little princesses always look stunning!
My daughter did this for her fourth birthday and it was pure magic.
We never did the BBB when we were younger but seeing this post has made me regret it! It looks so magical and your daughter looks like she’s having the best time! If we were ever to travel with younger members, we would make this a must. Thank you for the magical insight!

We can’t wait when our nieces are a little older to take them here.
Yes! I love the tip to bring your own dress! It can save you a lot!!
I wish this had been around when I was a kid! It looks like such a special experience!
So sweet! I’ve only got boys in my life but would have been all over this added option otherwise! Great information and money saving tips.
For me, Disney Springs was a little far out from where we were staying so we preferred the location of Magic Kingdom. It meant that we could go on rides up until our appointment time. Then my husband and son could go on rides while I went with the girls for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique appointment. After the appointment my girls could walk around the Magic Kingdom and all cast members would say, Hi princess. They felt like royalty. Plus, they were INSIDE the castle to get their make overs.. I made sure to remind them of this many times (otherwise they may not have even noticed). You can see what the Disney Springs location looks like in this video .
