It is time to take action and start saving for Disney! This Disney savings plan will help you save $5,000 in 52 weeks.
Disney Savings Plan
We have come up with a savings plan and want to help you achieve those savings. That’s why we also post tips, tricks, and updates in our Facebook group, so make sure you join.
Disney usually seems out of reach for families that live paycheck-to-paycheck. That is why we share ways to find and earn extra money. That way your Disney vacation is not only coming out of your check and taking away from your daily expenses.
Cost
At the time of this writing, the average Disney vacation costs around $5,000. We spent $4,000 for a week long trip our last time, just to give you an idea. This included a Disney resort stay, the dining plan, Memory Maker, basically everything but plane tickets, because we drove. Everyone’s budget, cost, and where they are at in their savings will be different, but we can still come together to achieve our goal.
Savings Plan
A lot of savings plans start with a small number and then slowly increase over time. That isn’t always doable for a lot of families. Just because you can put away $20 this week, doesn’t mean you will be able to put away $200 in six months, when your car battery suddenly dies. Our plan moves up and down over time so if you miss a goal one week, it won’t seem so impossible to get back on track. That is why we included a +/- column, so you can keep track of any fudging you might have to do.
Some weeks you can easily achieve your goal and even a little extra. Some weeks, life happens and the goal isn’t quite reached. That is okay. Don’t beat yourself up over it. You will still get there.
By the fourth week you will have enough to book your vacation. Save a little money by purchasing Disney gift cards to pay your deposit. We discuss ways to help you do this, and other money-saving techniques in our Facebook group How to Save Money for Disney – Tips and Tricks from Paper Angels. So make sure you go and join to get all the latest tips and money making opportunities.
A goal is much easier to achieve when you have a support system to back you up. The more people in our community, the more we can all support each other, to reach our goals. See you at Disney!
