So you’ve already decided that Dolly Parton’s Stampede in Pigeon Forge, TN is an experience that you don’t want to miss. While it is totally worth it, it isn’t cheap. Here are some tips to help you get the most out of your visit.

Children Under Three are Free
Children under the age of three are free, but they do need to sit on your lap and eat from your plate. Consider purchasing a ticket for them if you are worried about having enough food. The servers bring around doggie bags at the end of the meal if you have any leftovers.

Bring Cash
Gratuity is not included in the ticket price. Every server I saw was working hard to make sure each guest was taken care of. So take care of them in return by bringing cash for a tip. There is an ATM located right beside the entrance to the arena if you find yourself needing some cash.
Arrive Early
Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy all there is to offer with the price of admission. Take advantage of the chance to see the beautiful horses in their open-air stables. Plus you don’t want to miss the Saloon Opening Act which begins 50 minutes prior to the main event. You’ve already paid to get in, why not get the most for your money?
Sit Upstairs for Opening Act
It will be tempting to immediately grab a seat when you first walk in the room for the Saloon Opening Act. Head upstairs and you get a better view of all the action and easy access to the entrance for the main arena. Plus, it won’t be quite as crazy, if anyone in your group doesn’t love crowds.
Assigned Sections

You are assigned to a certain row and don’t need to worry about rushing in to get a good seat. There will be plenty of friendly workers that will help you find your seat.
No Utensils
That’s right, no utensils are provided. You will be eating with your hands. This is every kid’s dream come true. They do come around with wet wipes during your meal to help with those food covered fingers. If this is a concern, I’m sure you can bring your own plastic fork.
Stick Around After the Show
The riders and their beautiful horses will be around the edge of the arena for meet-and-greets and autographs. It will be chaos with everyone trying to get out the door anyway. So stick around and take some pictures of/with the riders.
Visit the Gift Shop
You will be ushered into the gift shop on your way out. This will give you a chance to get some souvenirs. I highly recommend the soup mix to take home. The creamy vegetable soup was my favorite part of the meal. I love that I can take some home to make and relive my experience later on.

Relax and Enjoy the Show
This is a show that will leave you in awe and you don’t want to miss a second of it. You will be busy making memories from the moment you walk in until the time you step foot back outside. Take pictures, embrace the moment, take note of your kid’s reactions, fill your stomach with goodness, and be amazed at these talented performers.
Buy Tickets in Advance
Shows tend to sell out so make sure to get your tickets in advance. Purchase your tickets online. If you have any special requests, call the reservation line at 865-453-4400 or 800-356-1676.
